Company law

We assist our clients, both private and public sector, with all legal steps which running a company involves (incorporation, change of statutes, Board of Directors meetings, General Shareholders meetings, winding-up…). We also intervene in relation to disputes involving companies or their management (shareholders disputes, liability claims, nullity claims…). We also have considerable experience in company reorganization (mergers, split-offs…) share transactions (share transfers, options…) as well as in drafting partnering arrangements with other companies (joint ventures…) or within the company itself (Shareholders agreements…).

Commercial law and commercial litigation

We supply solutions to businesses of all sizes : drafting of commercial contracts, assistance in the launching of a new business and problem prevention for businesses. Without ever excluding the possibility of negotiation, mediation and arbitration, our lawyers appear frequently before the courts throughout the country and accompany our foreign correspondent lawyers. One of our partners is a receiver of the Brussels commercial court and has up to date experience with regard to companies in difficulty.

Tax law and tax litigation

We act on both the Belgian and European and international level in all areas directly or indirectly related to direct and indirect taxation : mergers and acquisitions, stock-exchange listings, project financing, company and financial structuring, risk capital, company purchases, international tax planning, estate and succession planning… We are also active in direct and indirect tax litigation. We represent and assist our clients before the courts as well as before administrative authorities.

Social law

We cover both individual and collective employment law as well as social security law. Individual employment law concerns all questions relating to the performance of the employment contract (hiring, breach of contract, etc.). Collective employment law deals with the relations between employee representatives and the employer, the organization of social elections, restructurings, collective disputes, etc. Social security law concerns the problems that a company or a private individual may encounter with the authorities, problems related to qualification as an employee, the social security treatment of employee benefits, the status of seconded or expatriate employees …

Public and administrative law

We act in all matters relating to public and administrative law, including constitutional law, town-planning and environmental law, government contracts, local authority law, public sector personnel law, on both the Belgian and the international level. We also deal with matters relating to health law and professional discipline. We represent our clients in administrative matters as well as before the Constitutional Court and the Council of State, as well as before supra-national jurisdictions. We advise and defend companies, administrations and private individuals in these constantly evolving areas of the law.


Criminal financial law

Our firm assists clients in penal matters relating to economic and financial crime. We assist both companies and private individuals who are being prosecuted as well as victims. Our specialized lawyers also train company management, senior personnel and bankers in fraud risk prevention and we help to put in place the structures necessary to prevent companies and their management incurring criminal liability.

Civil Liability and Insurance

Our department manages the specialized litigation of first-rate insurance companies, particularly in relation to professional liability and life insurance. We respond to requests for opinions on all matters relating to civil liability law and insurance. We defend the interests of companies and administrations but also of private individuals and, in this respect, we intervene not only to defend our clients but also represent them as plaintiff. In the pre-litigation phase we are consulted by professionals and by various institutions to prevent to the maximum degree possible, or at least to contain and limit damage in relation to, events which engage their liability.

Arbitration and mediation

We are active in the field of arbitration on both the national and the international level. We have an in-depth knowledge and experience of ICC and CEPANI Rules as well as of ad hoc arbitrations and arbitrations under the rules of the Belgian Judicial Code. In addition to representing the interests of our clients several of our lawyers also regularly sit as arbitrators in national and international proceedings. Several of our partners are accredited mediators with the Brussels Business Mediation Centre.
